HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - CAMPUS CHAPTER

This organization, affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International, performs three main functions: building or rehabilitating houses in partnership with habitat affiliates and homeowners; educating the campus and local community about affordable housing issues and the work of HFH; and raising funds for the work of Habitat for Humanity. The chapter also organizes the Alternative Spring Break trips.

The Student Volunteer Organization is a core group of students who promote volunteerism on campus through weekend service projects. The SVO provides educational programs as it relates to volunteer service.

Contact Phone: 358-2813 Our goals include raising school spirit and morale at KSC. We currently cheer for the men and women's basketball teams, but also show our spirit by attending other sporting events to support our teams. We plan to compete in cheerleading competitions in surrounding areas.

DANCE TEAM

The Dance Team is an organization who promotes spirit and provides entertainment during the Keene State Owl's basketball games at half time. The team is coed and works hard during their practices. The practices occur three to four times a week and everybody on the team contributes their talents and energy in every dance they perform.

We are a club of outdoor enthusiasts. We meet only to plan and carry out trips that meet the interests of our members. Our goal is to build a foundation of equipment, experience, defensive drivers and connections. Each semester we carry out a big trip and several skill builders.

WOMEN'S RUGBY CLUB

The Women's Rugby Club at Keene State participates in a competitive club league in the New England area. We play fall and spring seasons, and new members are welcome at any time. Practices are held Mondays through Fridays, with a required attendance of three practices per week. Games are played on Saturdays against area colleges and clubs such as Saint Anselm's College and Plymouth State. Come join us for a new experience in serious sportsmanship and a great time. It's purpose is to recognize outstanding scholarship in the French language and literature, to increase the knowledge and respect for the contributions of France to world culture, and to encourage cultural activities, such as guest speakers, which will lead to a deeper appreciation of France and its people.

The Epsilon Delta chapter of Phi Epison Kappa is the KSC Phys. Ed. Honorary Fraternity. PKE is a National Professional Fraternity serving men and women in the fields of: Physical Education, Health, Recreation, Dance, Athletic Training, Human Performance, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, and Sports Management. Chapters traditionally engage in activities to promote the objectives of the Fraternity and have included sponsorship of seminars, clinics, workshops, and other educational activities. Scholarship is promoted through the Fraternity's scholarship and award program. Collegiate chapters often devote many hours of service to their respective school communities.
